Pineapple Daiquiri Recipe- Vogue castaway style

Serves 1 generously when stranded on small island on the way to glamourous location photoshoot

Wait for rum runners to hove into port. Beg, borrow or steal a bottle of light rum. Or three. (It may be dangerous to drink actual water and it always pays to have supplies.)

Shimmy up a pineapple tree. So pineapples don’t grow on palms? Who’d of thought it! Shimmy down again. Find a pineapple plant. Pick one and get scratched to death in the process. Smash into a pulp. Take that, you prickly swine!

Limes. There must be limes here somewhere. They’re the ones that are like lemons but green, right? Aha. Well, that was easy enough.

Pop round to neighbour and borrow a cup of sugar. Hope the natives are friendly.

Barter suitcase of haute couture for a cup of ice. But not the Givenchy. Or the Yves St Laurent.

Dress for cocktails. Insert ingredients into disused halves of coconut shell. Shimmy vigorously under palm trees humming something by Mr. Sinatra until cocktail is shaken. Drink, climb into hammock and wait for rescue.
